Ask us about a hire in the Netherlands
Send us the role you are trying to fill and we will tell you what it costs to employ that person on a Dutch contract, what has to be in place before the first working day, and how long each step takes. We answer before you commit to anything, and the person who replies is the person who would run the account.
Your question reaches the team that would handle the account
- Contracts, payroll and the monthly loonaangifte, run under Dutch law
- Pay guidance drawn from published CBS wage figures

Getting a first Dutch employee onto payroll
Straight answers from people who work on Dutch payroll and employment every day

What your colleague gets, and what leaves your desk
You do not need a company in the Netherlands. The EOR becomes the legal employer of the person you hire, on a Dutch arbeidsovereenkomst, so the payroll, the loonheffingen, the monthly return and the statutory duties that come with being the employer stop being your problem. You pick the person and run the work.
We move with what you are doing
One person or a team of fifteen, the service fits the shape you are in now and changes when that changes.
One figure, said before you sign
Pricing opens at €599 for each employee, each month. Salary, 8% vakantiegeld and the employer social charges are billed at the amount actually paid. Nothing appears quietly at year end.
Five employer charges, handled
Dutch employer cost is five separate charges, not one percentage. AWf, Aof, the opslag Wko, the gedifferentieerde premie Whk and the werkgeversheffing Zvw. Two of them move with the contract type and the size of the employer, one is set employer by employer by Belastingdienst decision, and all five stop at € 79.409 of pay in 2026. We run the lot.
Someone who has read the article
Questions come up about proeftijd, the ketenregeling, leave that lapses on 30 June and how long sick pay runs. You get a direct line to someone who answers with the article number, rather than a ticket with a two-day window.
A person, not a platform
Every client gets a named contact who works on Dutch employment law daily. From a first hire in Rotterdam to a fifth in Groningen, the same person stays on the account.
Written for the role, not from a template
A senior engineer going onto an indefinite contract is a different piece of drafting from a contractor moving across to employment. Each arrangement is shaped around the role, the budget and the start date.
Why work with EOR Netherlands?
- We work on Dutch employment and nothing else
- Dutch payroll and HR are run in house, not subcontracted
- We track what changes in Dutch employment law and move payroll onto it
- One flat fee per employee, and the figure is printed on the pricing page
What clients say once the first year is behind them
“After struggling with our previous EOR partner, the team turned our entire onboarding process around within 24 hours, a level of speed and communication that is completely unmatched.”
“It has been a pleasure collaborating with the whole team. Every encounter has been not only pleasant but highly professional, making the past few months significantly easier to navigate.”
“We have had a very positive experience working with the team across payroll, compliance, and local employment matters, and have consistently received a high level of service and support.”
“You turned around a compliant, tailored employment contract in an impressively short timeframe, taking the time to understand our specific requirements around IP, confidentiality, and non-compete, all with direct, knowledgeable support throughout.”
“It is a pleasure to work with the team. Your service is very helpful, your response time is always good, and you have a great team.”
HR cover for your Dutch staff
One country, read closely
Employing in the Netherlands means working to the Burgerlijk Wetboek, the Belastingdienst, UWV and the Nederlandse Arbeidsinspectie, and several of the numbers reset twice a year rather than once. The minimumuurloon moved from € 14,71 to € 14,99 on 1 July 2026 and moves again on 1 January. A provider covering fifty countries rarely notices on the day.
We price the support you asked for and put the figure in writing. Behind it, the contracts, the payroll records and the monthly returns are kept in the state an inspection expects to find them in.
- A flat fee, with statutory costs passed on at cost
- Guidance from people who work on Dutch employment law daily
